Humble Daisy - XTC - Nonsuch (Cassette, Album)

's NONSUCH by XTC is a more mature and deeper album compared to their previous release, ORANGES AND LEMONS. What I find so interesting about NONSUCH is that the band wasn'r afraid to be more mature after an album that was more or less bubblegum and young audience-based/5().

XTC have produced some of the most varied, musical and nimble pop music of the last 30 years-fans of the band will no doubt enjoy this on form album which was the last album done for Virgin before the band withdrew their labour for several years due to contractual/legal folderol and also the last one to feature the fleet fingered genius of /5().

Nonsuch (styled as NONSVCH.) is the 12th studio album by the English band XTC, released 27 April on Virgin follow-up to Oranges & Lemons (), Nonsuch is a relatively less immediate and more restrained sounding album, carrying the band's psychedelic influences into new musical styles, and displaying a particular interest in orchestral arrangements.

Through fifteen years and ten albums, XTC has become something of a pop hothouse flower, having nurtured an utterly idiosyncratic sound from some very familiar roots. Nonsuch finds XTC, whose members are pushing forty, gliding well past the musical and emotional predilections of the band's predominantly college-age audience.

Quotes [] Andy: “A paean to the person and the weed. There's a wonderful field where I walk my dog and overnight these big daisies came up. So the song's in praise of that glorious weed.
