Ocean Of Colours

 · Ocean colors are color names based on ocean environments and conditions. The ocean is most typically a dark to light blue. This is due to the tendency for water molecules to more strongly absorb light at the red end of the visible spectrum such that blue light is more likely to be reflected. The actual color of the ocean depends on ocean conditions, minerals and organisms in the water.

 · The colour of distilled water, water which contains nothing but water itself, is blue. This is caused by the water molecules that absorb all sunlight between red and green. 1. The red, yellow, and green wavelengths of sunlight are absorbed by water molecules in the ocean. When sunlight hits the ocean, some of the light is reflected back directly but most of it penetrates the ocean surface and interacts with the water molecules that it encounters.
